Understanding the experiences of clinicians who treat emergency services workers

The aim of this study is to understand the skills, training and support needs of clinicians working with emergency services workers. It is hoped that by creating a better understanding of these issues, this will increase opportunities to enhance the treatment that is provided by clinicians who work with emergency services patients. 

Using a qualitative research methodology, this research will help identify targeted ways in which clinicians can be supported in their clinical practice of working with emergency services workers. The findings can also help inform the development of future ESW-specific professional development opportunities, through the Responder Assist initiative.
